Volunteers Needed and 2011 Co-Sponsors Posted!

Sacramento Women Take Back the Night is recruiting volunteers for the October 8 Rally.

Positions include:

Security Volunteers to ensure a safe space for all event participants and attendees and to respond to any disturbances at the Rally and along the march route.

March Monitors to help with set-up and take down, hand out programs during the Rally, and accompany the march, encouraging everyone to TAKE BACK THE NIGHT!

Shifts are planned as follows:

  • Set up- 3pm-5pm
  • Rally- 5pm-8pm
  • March- 8pm-9pm
  • Take Down- 8pm-10pm

A Volunteer Orientation will be held in the parking lot of the Sacramento Native American Health Center at 2020 J Street (the site where the event will be held) from 3-4:30pm on Sunday, October 2nd. After the orientation we will have a BBQ/Flower-Making Party to prepare for the event.

2011 March Against Slavery

Sacramento Women Take Back the Night will be participating in Chab Dai’s Sacramento March Against Slavery Sunday September 18 in Cesar Chavez Park in Downtown Sacramento.  We will be there from 12pm-3pm handing out flyers and marching against human trafficking.
