V-Day Sacramento

V-Day Sacramento is a project of Sacramento Take Back the Night and refers to the Sacramento community production of Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues. The first annual production was held in April 2010 and was (and continues to be) organized by an enthusiastic group of activists in the Sacramento community.

Since then, we have reached thousands of people with our powerful and empowering message, and raised over $110,000 in support of local nonprofit organizations serving survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Last year alone, the performance, sold out The Crest Theatre for the second consecutive year and raised over $37,000 for local beneficiaries: Community Against Sexual Harm (CASH) and Gender Health Center.
