Some exciting updates from your WTBN team:
We hope to have a finalized rally flyer by this Friday August 12 for printing and distribution this Saturday August 13. So… we need volunteers for flyering this 2nd Saturday, August 13 and future dates. This Saturday, the group will meet at Mondo Bizarro at 5:45pm then flyer from 6pm-9pm or until the flyers are all gone. WTBN Committee members Maryanne, Sunny, and Kamila will be there at 5:45pm, so look out for them!
Stay tuned for other flyering dates and an electronic version of the flyer!
This year Sacramento Women Take Back the Night and rally participants will commemorate individual women who have been victims of violence, both locally and in the lives of event attendees, by creating, displaying, and carrying paper flowers during the event and march.
We invite you to contribute to the Victims’ Memorial by creating a wide variety of tissue paper flowers to donate to the event. We request that the flowers be in purple and teal hues… (colors that represent Domestic Violence and Sexual Assualt Awareness) and use pencils as bases for the stems. Floral tape is a cheap and easy way to attach the flowers to the pencils to create a sturdy green stem.
Please refer to these tutorials:

Bring your completed flowers to the Rally on October 8 or contact us to donate them beforehand.
Thank you and let us know if you have questions!
